Dance, Doodle & Discover: This Week Around the Squares

This week’s got everything from gooey Fluff Fest treats and Aeronaut’s stein-holding showdown to rooftop cooking with Chef Joe Gatto and comedy that’ll leave your sides sore. If you’d rather move than munch, try candlelit yoga, bootcamps in Kendall, or beginner pickleball. Families can head to Danehy Park Day or the Cambridge Science Carnival, while night owls can lean into Oktoberfest, doodling over beers, or a Good Will Hunting movie night. However you do the Squares—foodie, artsy, outdoorsy, or just looking for something new—there’s plenty here to pull you off the stoop.

EVENT OF THE WEEK

Central Square Night Market is Back @ University Park (65 Sidney St, Cambridge) – University Park comes alive after dark with 100+ local artists and vintage vendors, global street food trucks dishing everything from bao to barbecue, a buzzing beer garden pouring craft brews, live bands and DJs across multiple stages, larger-than-life art installations and interactive games—all ages welcome in this one-night carnival of sights, sounds, and flavors | Free, 5pm-10pm

Reminders & Notes

  • If you open this newsletter on your phone and happen to notice a weird color scheme (green, pink and black combo), it’s because Beehiiv doesn't currently have separate styling to deal with mobile devices that override the colors due to dark mode — if it matters, try switching to light mode for the correct color scheme until I can find a better solution :)

  • If you’ve been following along, you’ll start noticing different design formats — I’m experimenting with trying different styles to try and fit in more events while still keeping this highly curated yet easy to navigate.
