Museum Nights, Two-Step Turns & Fresh Punchlines
With Monday marking the unofficial official start of the new work year, The Stoop’s weekly drops are back to keep you sane. The neighborhood slowly comes alive with the monthly MIT Museum After Dark series anchoring the week, bringing interactive art, hands-on craft and repair stations, science demos, open gallery access, plus live music and tastings. Around it, the week fills out with honky tonk dancing at The Burren, bachata lessons in Cambridge, and comedy showcases testing new material off McGrath.
THE MIDWEEK MOVE

After making a stop at The Burren last night I’m a bit bias but nonethelss these are always a hit with night kicking off with a short, beginner-friendly dance lesson before the Talking Hearts take the stage; a full live set of original country songs and classic-inspired grooves. Expect rich harmonies, pedal steel, and a back room that naturally turns into a dance floor once the band gets going. Easy to drop into whether you’re there to dance, listen, or both.
